Magic Millions to hold January HIT

Magic Millions has announced that it will

conduct another Horses in Training Sale in January in Queensland. The auction

house said that consignors requested another opportunity following the Gold

Coast Sale this past week. After a breeze-up day on January 14, the new sale will be

held January 15.

"This will basically be part two of the sale," Managing Director David Chester said. "A large portion of the original catalog

was withdrawn because of travel restrictions and the lack of time to prepare the

entries because of closed tracks. Vendors wanted the chance to offer these

horses at another sale, and we're only too happy to help them during this time

which has proved challenging for all industry participants.

"This

week's sale ended up with an 86.4 percent clearance rate -- that must be close to

a world record for a breeze-up style sale."

A reduction from the Heinrich Racing

Stables will be held at the conclusion sale.

"These reduction sales have

proven popular in the past with buyers and plenty more proven performers will go

under the hammer," Chester continued.

Entries for the sale will close December 10.
