Miss Andretti unlikely for July Cup
Tuesday's King's Stand S.(Eng-G2) winner MISS ANDRETTI (Ihtiram) looks set to
ship back to Australia rather than stay in England for a tilt at the July Cup
(Eng-G1). The six-year-old was a disappointing 15th in Saturday's Golden Jubilee
S. (Eng-G1) at Royal Ascot, and connections are now looking at a campaign geared
towards the Hong Kong Sprint (HK-G1).
"I'll have to discuss it with (part-owner)
Sean (Buckley), but my advice would be to go into quarantine, go back to
Australia, spell her and concentrate on Hong Kong at the end of the year,"
trainer Lee Freedman told www.racenet.au.
While Miss Andretti and Joe Janiak's TAKEOVER TARGET (Celtic Swing) are likely to ship out, conditioner Peter Moody
confirmed that King's Stand third MAGNUS (Flying Spur) would remain for the July
13 showpiece of Newmarket's July Festival.
