OBS sale begins Tuesday

The Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training

and Horses of Racing Age kicks off Tuesday, beginning at 10:30 a.m. (EDT). There

are 635 juveniles and 18 older horses cataloged for the two-day auction.

At Sunday's under tack show, Hip No. 345, a two-year-old colt by More Than

Ready, blazed one furlong in :10 to post the sale's fastest work for the

distance. The May 10 foal is consigned by Paul Sharp, agent, and was produced

from the unraced Miswaki mare Pampered R. N., a daughter of Grade 2 heroine and

multiple Grade 1-placed Pampered Star (Star de Naskra).

On Saturday, Hip 49, BROWNING (Jump Start), posted the sale's fastest

quarter-mile, working the distance in :21 flat. Consigned by Shadybrook Farm

(Michael Yates), agent, the dark bay filly is out of Grade 3-placed Chandelier

(Majestic Light), making her a half-sister to 1997 Santa Ynez S. (G3) victress

and Santa Anita Oaks (G1) runner-up Queen of Money (Corporate Report), who is the dam of stakes winners Quiet Cash

(Real Quiet) and Pocketfullofpesos (In Excess [Ire]).

Hip 102, QUEEN OF SPARTA (Yonaguska), posted the sale's fastest three

furlongs, stopping the timer in :33 1/5. Consigned by Sescan, agent, the

Kentucky-bred is the first foal out of Diamondsnemeralds (Souvenir Copy).

Hips 1-326 will sell on Tuesday. Hips 327-653 will be offered on Wednesday.
