The Bob Baffert colt has won his past three -- the Preakness S. (G1), Haskell Invitational (G1) and Indiana Derby (G2) -- and will look to make it four in a row in the Classic (G1). Grade 1 hero SIDNEY'S CANDY (Candy Ride [Arg]) drilled seven panels in a sharp 1:25 2/5, much the fastest of four trials at the trip, in preparation for the Mile(G1). An easy winner of the La Jolla H. (G2) in course-record time at Del Mar last out, the John Sadler pupil was scratched from the October 9 Oak Tree Mile (G2) due to his impending sale. Del Mar Futurity (G1) victor J P'S GUSTO (Successful Appeal), runner-up in the Norfolk S. (G1) in his two-turn debut, posted the second-best seven-furlong work in 1:26 4/5 for the Juvenile (G1). Beverly Hills H. (G3) heroine TURNING TOP (Ire) (Pivotal), runner-up in the Yellow Ribbon S. (G1) last time out, worked five-eighths in 1:01 2/5. A potential candidate for the Filly & Mare Turf (G1), the Simon Callaghan filly could opt instead for Sunday's Las Palmas H. (G2).
Grade 2 winner ZARDANA (Brz) (Crimson Tide), ninth in the Spinster S. (G1) but mentioned as possible for the Ladies' Classic (G1), traveled four panels in :50 1/5.

Over the fast main track at Monmouth Park, potential Sprint (G1) candidate WILDCAT BRIEF (Forest Wildcat) breezed four
furlongs in a bullet :48 1/5. Winner of the Icecapade S. two back, he was most
recently third in the Vosburgh S. (G1).
