Multiple Grade 1 winner Jeranimo (Congaree), ninth in both the Awesome

Again (G1) and Pacific Classic (G1), recorded five furlongs in 1:00 2/5 over the

the fast track at Santa Anita on Thursday. The Turf Sprint is his first

preference and the Mike Pender charge is also pre-entered to the Mile.

Multiple Grade 2 winner Great Hot (Orientate), runner-up in the

October 5 L.A. Woman, drilled four furlongs in a bullet :46 1/5 in advance of

the Filly & Mare Sprint.

Juvenile Turf pre-entrant Poker Player (Harlan's Holiday), winner of the

off-the-turf Bourbon (G3) on October 6, worked six furlongs on Keeneland's firm

turf course in 1:15 4/5 with

jockey Channing Hill.

Working on his own and well off the inner rail, Poker Player recorded splits of :13, :26

4/5, :39 3/5 and :53 2/5.

"He galloped well over it the other day and he finished good today," trainer

Wayne Catalano said. "A two-year-old, out there by himself for the first time

can get lost out there and that is why I took him out there the other day, to

get him used to it."

Poker Player is scheduled to ship to Santa Anita on Sunday.
