Ogden Mills (Dinny) Phipps, patriarch of one of North America's most

distinguished Thoroughbred racing families, announced Thursday that Phipps Stable

has decided to offer for sale a select number of its mares in Keeneland's

November Breeding Stock Sale.

Claiborne Farm, whose association with the Phipps family dates back three

generations, beginning with the Wheatley Stable of Gladys Mills Phipps, will act

as agent for the consignment.

"The decision to sell some of our horses was made as part of the normal

course of stable management," said Daisy Phipps Pulito, who assists her father

with stable operations. "My family remains fully invested in the Thoroughbred

industry."

Reward, who is out of champion Heavenly Prize (Seeking the Gold), will be sold in foal

to Malibu Moon.

American Oaks (G1) and Gazelle S. (G1). She will be offered in

foal to Tapit.
