Fully Subscribed dominant in Personal Ensign

Trainer Chad Brown might not have the ante-post favorite for the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1), but he will go into the Oct. 31 feature at Keeneland fully loaded.
With division leader Nitrogen sitting out Saturday’s $500,000 Personal Ensign (G1) at Saratoga, odds-on favoritism fell on the Brown-trained Fully Subscribed. After being dusted by Nitrogen by more than a dozen lengths in the Ogden Phipps (G1) in early June, Fully Subscribed bounced back to catch Scottish Lassie in the final yards of the Shuvee (G2) on July 24.

Fully Subscribed, under Flavien Prat, wasted no time taking aim at Scottish Lassie in the Personal Ensign, reeling that rival in before the eighth pole before drawing off to win by 9 3/4 lengths.
“She's always trained super, like a Grade 1 quality filly,” Brown said. “Came up a little bit short to start the season, but she's kept improving slowly and steadily, and she's a high-quality race mare. I'm so happy.”
By virtue of the win, Fully Subscribed clinched an automatic bid to the Distaff. Brown is also targeting the race with Kentucky Oaks (G1) winner Always a Runner and Alabama (G1) heroine My Gun’s Loaded.
Owned by Klaravich Stables, Fully Subscribed covered 1 1/8 miles over a fast track in 1:49.23 and paid $3.86.
Scottish Lassie lasted for second by a half-length over Nerazurri, with pacesetter Snowyte a head farther back in fourth. Margie’s Intention and Speed Shopper rounded out the order of finish.
The Personal Ensign was the fourth career stakes win for Fully Subscribed, who also landed the Mother Goose (G2) and Comely (G3) last season. She kicked off 2026 with a runner-up finish in the La Troienne (G1). Surpassing $1 million in career earnings on Saturday, Fully Subscribed as a mark of 9-5-3-1.
A four-year-old Kentucky-bred, Fully Subscribed is by Tiz the Law and out of Sweetbaby, a daughter of Candy Ride and Grade 1 winner Rutherienne.
One race later, Brown and Prat teamed up to win the $400,000 Lake Placid (G2) with Naomis, a French import who made an emphatic last-to-first blitz in the stretch to win the three-year-old filly fixture by a half-length.
A 20-1 upset winner of the Prix de Sandringham (G2) at Chantilly in her last start on May 31, Naomis went favored in the Lake Placid and paid $4.54 after covering a mile on firm turf in 1:35.72. Ultimate Love finished second by a half-length over the Brown-trained Deep Learning.
"She shipped over to our barn, and we momentarily thought about the (Aug. 1) Lake George (G3) with her. I was on the fence, and she spiked a temperature and made my mind up for me that way,” Brown said. “So, we pointed her to this, and obviously her form going a mile in her last two was good, so it made a lot of sense to start her at a mile.
“She had trained like she could be a potential Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup [G1] horse, and it sure looks like that off one run."
The nine-furlong Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup will be run at Keeneland on Oct. 10.
A daughter of City Light, Naomis races for Madaket Stables, Michael Dubb, Thirty Year Racing, and Michael Caruso.
