Silent Name will stand at Adena following Citation

Multiple Grade 2 hero SILENT NAME (Jpn) (Sunday Silence) will be retired to

co-owner Frank Stronach's Adena Springs Kentucky farm following his career

finale in the November 23 Citation H. (G1) at Hollywood Park. Winner of this

year's Commonwealth Breeders' Cup S. (G2), in which he defeated eventual

Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) champ Midnight Lute (Real Quiet), and the 2006 Arcadia

H. (G2), Silent Name opened his racing career in France, where he won a pair of

listed races, before being imported to the United States last season. The

five-year-old horse placed in three Grade 1 events and earned $639,431 from a

22-6-2-4 line.

The first registered foal out of French Group 3 victress Danzigaway (Danehill), Silent

Name will stand for a live foal fee of $7,500.

The $500,000 Citation, a 1 1/16-mile turf affair, is one of three Grade 1

stakes in Hollywood's Turf Festival. The Bobby Frankel-trained Silent Name will

attempt to rebound from an unplaced finish in the Breeders' Cup Mile (G1) last

out.
