Last updated: 9/8/07 10:36 PM

Richard Glantz's SOLO SURVIVOR (Pleasant Tap) rallied up the rail through the

stretch to earn her first stakes victory with a one-length win in the $150,000

Arlington Matron H. (G3) over

the

Polytrack on Saturday. The five-year-old mare, who captured a $50,000 claiming

event in her prior start, was last for the opening six furlongs but closed with

good energy under Mark Guidry to finish 1 1/8 miles in 1:49 4/5. The

chestnut gave back $34.60, $12.20 and $4 as the

16-1 longshot for trainer James DiVito.

Ms. Lydonia (Labeeb [GB]), the 10-1 second longest price on the board, led

at every call but the final one, finishing 1 1/4 lengths in front of third. The

runner-up paid $10 and $4 while completing the $176.20 exacta. Round Heels (Ire)

(Daggers Drawn) loomed a threat entering the final turn but could not catch the

top pair late, finishing third as the 8-5 favorite. Show paid $3 and the

trifecta returned $1,010.80. Eyes on Eddy (Touch Gold) capped the $2,961.40

superfecta (2-1-4-6) as the 5-2 second choice, and was followed by On Safari

(Lion Cavern) and Coolwind (Forest Wildcat).

Solo Survivor now boasts $234,195 in career earnings from a 29-6-5-6 record.

She was bred in the Bluegrass State by Live Oak Stud and produced from the

stakes-winning Dactique (D'Accord), making her a half-sister to 1995 Ladies H.

(G2) heroine Transient Trend (Time For a Change).

The winner was purchased for the bargain price of $3,000 at the 2003 OBS

August sale.
