Spelling Again (Awesome Again) fought back in Saturday's $100,000 Open Mind S.
at Churchill Downs after being headed by 9-5 favorite Heykittykittykitty
(Tactical Cat) and ended up posting a one-length victory under Shaun Bridgmohan
in her stakes debut.
The bay four-year-old miss not only earned her first stakes win when
finishing six furlongs in 1:09.96 over the fast dirt in the
Mind, she gave trainer Brad Cox his first stakes victory at Churchill as
well as his 100th score under the Twin Spires.

Frivolous (Empire Maker) wrapped up the day's stakes action with a dominating
eight-length score in the $100,000 Locust Grove S. under Jon Court.
The Victoria Oliver-trained five-year-old ran 1 1/16 miles on the main track
in 1:43.85 to add a third Churchill stakes win to her resume. In addition to the
Locust Grove, Frivolous has also triumphed in the track's Falls City H. (G2)
and Fleur de Lis H. (G2).
