Grade 1 winner Streaming has been retired due to a hind leg injury and will join

the broodmare band at Hill 'n' Dale Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.

Unbeaten from two starts as a juvenile, the daughter of Smart Strike captured

the Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet by a comfortable 1 1/2-length margin in early

December, defeating eventual three-year-old superstar Untapable in the

process.

Streaming opened her three-year-old season with a runner-up finish in the

Grade 1 Las Virgenes at Santa Anita February 1 but made only one more start,

trailing in the Grade 3 Rachel Alexandra at Fair Grounds February 22.

Trained by Bob Baffert, the Kentucky-bred filly was campaigned by breeders Hill 'n' Dale Equine

Holdings and Edward McGhee.

Out of the winning Storm Cat mare Teeming, dam of stakes winner Cascading and

stakes-placed Distracting and Gifting, Streaming's second dam is 2007 Broodmare

of the Year Better Than Honour, whose foals include champion Rags to Riches,

Belmont Stakes winner Jazil, Breeders' Cup Marathon winner Man of Iron and Grade

2 winner Casino Drive.

"While it is always sad to retire such a supremely talented filly, we are so

proud of her accomplishments, as well as those of her dam, Teeming, who is

emerging as one of the most prolific producers today," Hill 'n' Dale President

John G. Sikura said. "We are delighted to welcome Streaming home to join the

rest of the family here at Hill 'n' Dale."
