A Street Cry half-brother to 2008 Frank E. Kilroe Mile (G1) winner Ever a

Friend (Crafty Friend) brought $400,000 from Conquest Stables on Tuesday at the

second session of the Fasig-Tipton October sale of yearlings at the Newtown

Paddocks in Lexington, Kentucky. Offered by Baccari Bloodstock, agent, the

February 26 Kentucky-bred toured the ring as Hip No. 803.

The gray colt was reared by Never is a Promise (Capote), a half-sister to

Grade 3 winner Aunt Henny (Hennessy).

The session topper went unsold the first two times he appeared in the sales

ring -- for $240,000 as a Keeneland November weanling and for $270,000 at the

Keeneland September sale last month.

Pegasus Bridge LLC acquired a Tiznow colt for $320,000. Consigned by Lane's

End, agent, the January 8 Kentucky-bred was offered as Hip 652.

The yearling was produced by Lasting Appeal (A.P. Indy), a full sister to

Grade 2-winning sire Jump Start. This extended family has also included Group 1

winner and noted sire Miswaki (Mr. Prospector), French Oaks (Fr-G1) winner

Lacovia (Majestic Light), and Grade/Group 1 scorers Tobougg (Barathea) and

Eternity Star (Majestic Light).

Hermitage Farm, agent, sold a son of More Than Ready to Mike Ryan, agent, for

$295,000. The February 23 Kentucky-bred sported Hip 611.

The colt was reared by Grade 3 winner Kiss the Devil (Kris S.), making him a

half-brother to six-time stakes winner and multiple Grade 3-placed Kiss Mine

(Mineshaft), and the multiple stakes-winning Kiss Moon (Malibu Moon), a

three-time Grade 3-placed filly who most recently captured the TaWee S. at

Indiana Grand on October 4.

Also hailing from this female line are Grade 1 winner Nell's Briquette (Lanyon),

Group 2 winners Love the Groom (Blushing Groom) and Sanquirico (Lypheor), and

Grade 3 victor Nonios (Pleasantly Perfect).

A colt from the first crop of dual champion turf male Gio Ponti was obtained

by Pick Six Racing for $260,000. Hip 664 was consigned by Select Sales, agent.

The April 8 Kentucky-bred was reared by Life Happened (Stravinsky), making

him a half-brother to recent Kelso H. (G2) winner Vyjack (Into Mischief), Grade

3 winner Tepin (Bernstein), as well as the Grade 2-placed Prime Cut (Bernstein).

This extended family also includes 1997 champion sprinter Smoke Glacken (Two

Punch), Grade 2 winners Smokey Glacken (Forestry) and Crown of Thorns (Repent),

and multiple Grade 3 winner Disco Rico (Citidancer).
