Supah Blitz earned his second win of the year at Calder (Skip Smith) Black Saddle Stable, Kagele Bros. & Mark Lieb's SUPAH BLITZ (Mecke) was sent off the heavy 2-5 favorite in Saturday's $200,000 Carl G. Rose Classic H. during Calder's Florida Million program, and ran to his odds to post a one-length victory under jockey Jerry Bailey. The Doug O'Neill-trained four-year-old settled in midpack until the far turn, where he came four wide and rallied late to pass the pacesetting Hear No Evil (Carson City) right before the wire, completing the 1 1/8-mile fast track test in 1:52 2/5. Supah Blitz paid $2.80, $2.40 and $2.10 for his score and started the $40.40 exacta, $157.80 trifecta and $600.40 superfecta (5-3-6-1). Hear No Evil held second by 1 3/4 lengths and gave back $8 and $2.10 as the 22-1 longshot. Bob's Proud Moment (Proud and True) was third at 6-1 and returned $2.10. Dependable Herbie (Robyn Dancer), The Judge Sez Who (Judge T C), Nightmare Affair (Out of Place) and Keep Cool (Frosty the Snowman) followed the top three under the wire. Prior to September's Del Mar Breeders' Cup H. (G2) win, Supah Blitz's two other stakes scores came at Calder. He ran third in the Goodwood Breeders' Cup H. (G2) in October and now owns a 32-6-12-5 record to go along with $968,610 in earnings.

Barbara Vivian and Domici Vittese's ACLASSYSASSYLASSY (Wild

Event) started off the stakes action on the Florida Million card

when she easily took the $150,000 Joe O'Farrell Juvenile Fillies

S. by 4 1/2 lengths. With Manuel Aguilar in the saddle, the David

Vivian trainee stopped the clock in 1:25 2/5 for seven furlongs

and earned her fourth stakes victory. The gray filly's only non-win

came as a second in the J J'sdream S. and she improved her line

to 6-5-1-0, $488,800.

In the colt's division, the $150,000 Jack Price Juvenile

S.,

Peachtree Stable's FLAMENCO (Dance Master) prevailed by an easy

four lengths under Cornelio Velasquez to move his record to 6-4-1-1

with $303,085 in earnings. The Todd Pletcher charge got seven

furlongs in 1:24 3/5 and now owns three stakes wins.

Joseph J. Balsamo's WEIGELIA (Safely's Mark), hero of the

Carry Back S. (G3) earlier this year, returned to Calder to win

the $150,000 Jack Dudley Sprint H. by a length with John

Velazquez holding the reins. The Manuel Azpurua trainee got six

furlongs in 1:10 1/5 and now shows a mark of 15-6-4-2 to go along

with $476,860 in earnings.

Dale and Jean Howes' FINAL PROPHECY (World Stage [Ire]) was a

head victor in the $150,000 Bonnie Heath Turf Cup H. over the

firm course. The David Brownlee-trained five-year-old, with

Carlos Olivero in the saddle, ran the nine furlongs on the turf

in 1:47 1/5 and posted his second black-type score to increase

his earnings to $225,060 and record to 32-6-2-3.

Liberty Stable's HOPELESSLY DEVOTED (Storm Creek) earned a 1 1/4-length

score in the $100,000 Elmer Heubeck Distaff H. going 1 1/16 miles.

With Velasquez holding the reins, the Sandra Slivka-trained

sophomore beat her elders in a final time of 1:45 3/5 to push her

earnings to $499,385 and record to 15-6-4-0. The bay miss

previously had scored in the Calder Oaks and Susan's Girl

Breeders' Cup S.

In the $100,000 John Franks Juvenile Fillies

Farm's RICH IN SPIRIT (Repriced) rallied on the outside of the 8

1/2-furlong turf event to post a length victory for trainer

Thomas Proctor. Javier Castellano guided the dark bay filly to

her first stakes win in a time of 1:41 2/5, improving her line to

5-3-0-0 and earnings to $107,362. Rutica Stables' TURK'S RANSOM (Comic

Strip) earned a close neck decision in the $100,000 Arthur

Appleton Juvenile Turf in 1:43 with Velasquez aboard. The David

Vivian Jr.-trained two-year-old also posted a first black-type

score here, which was his second win from five starts, and moved

his earnings to $80,490.
