Last updated: 6/11/08 3:47 PM

The 2008 Tattersalls July catalog can now be viewed online at

www.tattersalls.com and will be published on Monday. The sale itself is

scheduled for July 8-11.

A total of 915 lots -- comprised of broodmares, horses in training and

yearlings -- make up the catalog, which features major consignments from such

leading owner/breeders as Castlemartin Stud, Cheveley Park Stud, Darley, Gestut

Fahrhof, Juddmonte Farms, Moyglare Stud Farm and Shadwell Estates, as well as

leading vendors Castlebridge Consignment, Jamie Railton and Ted Voute.

Leading trainers from Britain, Ireland and France also feature strongly with

Roger Charlton, Luca Cumani, Clive Brittain, Ed Dunlop, John Gosden, John Oxx,

Andre Fabre, Sir Michael Stoute, Jim Bolger, Mark Johnston, Marcus Tregoning,

Brian Meehan, Dermot Weld, William Jarvis, Jeremy Noseda, Peter Chapple-Hyam,

Henry Cecil and Mick Channon all well represented.

Horses of interest in the catalog include the William Haggas-trained CONQUEST

(Invincible Spirit), who is consigned as Lot No. 514. The bay gelding won the

2006 Gimcrack S. (Eng-G2) and more recently the Hever Sprint S. at Lingfield in

March. His dam, Aguinaga (Machiavellian), is a half-sister to Group 1 winner and

English highweight Iktamal (Danzig Connection) as well as multiple Group 2

victor First Magnitude (Ire) (Arazi) and 1993 Arkansas Derby (G3) hero

Rockamundo (Key to the Mint).

A pair of sophomore eyecatchers from the Richard Hannon stable are Group

1-placed colt REDOLENT (Redback), recent winner of the Heron S. going a mile at

Sandown Park, and the Group 3-placed filly REEL GIFT (Reel Buddy). They are

listed as Lots 602 and 610, respectively.

Breeders will also not be short of choice with nearly 200 mares in foal or

with foals by their side. Covering sires include such stalwarts as Acclamation,

Cadeaux Genereux, Cape Cross (Ire), Dalakhani, Danehill Dancer, Green Desert,

Oasis Dream (GB), Peintre Celebre, Pivotal, Red Ransom, Rock of Gibraltar (Ire),

Selkirk and Singspiel (Ire).

Exciting unproven sires with mares in foal include Authorized, Cockney Rebel,

Dubawi, Dylan Thomas (Ire), Excellent Art (GB), Hurricane Run (Ire), Manduro,

Motivator, Notnowcato, Oratorio (Ire), Pastoral Pursuits, Proclamation, Rail

Link, Red Clubs, Shamardal, Sir Percy, Teofilo and Zafeen.

"With nearly one thousand lots cataloged there will be no shortage of choice

and value for money for buyers at the July Sale and the diversity will appeal to

purchasers looking for top class breeding stock or horses and fillies in

training either to go hurdling or to continue on the flat," said Tattersalls

Chairman Edmond Mahony, commenting on the July catalog. "Recent American Grade 2

winner Rebellion (GB) (Mozart [Ire]), a 30,000 guineas July purchase, and

100,000 guineas 2007 purchase Monzante (Maria's Mon), beaten a neck in a

Californian Grade 1 at the weekend, are both fine advertisements for the sale

and we are looking forward to welcoming buyers from throughout the world and to

another successful sale."

Catalogs will be available directly from Tattersalls, and all Tattersalls

overseas representatives, and can be viewed at the Tattersalls website.
