Tie Black holds onto title
Javier Gispert's TIE BLACK (Machiavellian)
will retain her title in the May 14 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches (Fr-G1) after it was announced
that
the connections of PRICE TAG (Dansili [GB]) had lost their appeal of her
disqualification
from first to third.
Khalid Abdullah's filly was judged by the Longchamp
stewards to have
interfered with the eventual third Impressionnante (Danehill) in the closing stages en
route to her defeat of Tie Black. After a hearing on Wednesday, officials at the
ruling body
France-Galop's headquarters upheld the stewards' decision.
