referrals

TwinSpires.com, the

official advance-deposit wagering service for Churchill Downs Inc. (CDI), is

offering its players a major incentive for encouraging their friends to use

TwinSpires.com. The

"Fire Up 5" program will reward players who refer five friends to

TwinSpires.com in 2012

with a Kindle Fire tablet and $250 in cash.

"We appreciate viral marketing efforts by our players and are happy to reward

them through this program,"

TwinSpires.com Vice President of Marketing Jeremy Clemons said. "More than

40 percent of new accounts at

TwinSpires.com are

players who were referred by their friends. The fact that such a large number of

our players recommend

TwinSpires.com illustrates that we deliver on our promise to provide leading

product innovation and an unmatched value for our customers."

In addition to the $250 in cash, the "Fire Up 5" program will reward players

with a Kindle Fire tablet. The Kindle Fire will provide players the convenience

of playing horse racing from virtually anywhere Internet service is available.

The Kindle Fire is fully compatible with TwinSpires.com's featured wagering

experiences, TwinSpiresTV and TwinSpires Express. The Kindle Fire is also

compatible with TwinSpires Mobile, which allows players to use both smartphones

and tablet computers to review handicapping information, place wagers and watch

live racing.

"We chose to include the Kindle Fire in this promotion because tablet

computers give our customers an easy, portable way to watch and wager on horse

racing any time, any place," Clemons added. "TwinSpires.com's platforms are

continually being optimized for compatibility with the latest mobile and tablet

devices."
