Winning with Workouts
WINNING WITH WORKOUTS
JANUARY 27
In this regular weekly feature, Handicapper's Report will present examples of
how to use workouts in your handicapping using actual results with horses
featured in our reports. To access the HR reports and to see the highlights of
our recent results, click here.
Today's Topic: Always give the Fit and Ready horses an extra look.
There are times when our clockers include horses that they know are going to
perform well even if their workouts have not been exceptional. An example is
SCRAPPY T (Fit to Fight) from our AQU9 Fit and Ready list who had a nice Grade B workout, but
it was not particularly flashy. He was entered in a little stakes at Aqueduct on
January 15 off a second in a first level allowance. He wired the field at
$24.20. Being at the track in the mornings sometimes gathers more information
than just workouts.
