Nine turf sprinters will contest the $125,000 Woodford S. (G3) on the

Keeneland turf this Saturday. MR. NIGHTLINGER (Indian Charlie) is among the best

turf dashers in the states for Bret Calhoun and finished a solid third in the

competitive Turf Monster H. last out at Philly Park. The five-year-old bay is a

stakes winner on this course and is the inside speed of the field, so we can

surely envision a scenario where the 10-time winner leads at every call beneath

Jamie Theriot.

BULLET FROM ABROAD (Red Bullet) is our sleeper gimmicks horse for conditioner

Mike Dini, as the gelded bay is in good form. A winner in three of his last four

dashes, the Florida-bred has good early speed in a field with not many who like

to go early, and we could see him riding the coattails of our top pick all the

way around the track at a big price.

SILVER TIMBER (Prime Timber) was claimed for $25,000 four races back and has

been superb since, winning the Jaipur S. (G3) and an allowance heat while

finishing second in the recent Commentator S. The New York-bred could be the one

with his best beneath Julien Leparoux.

Veteran FORT PRADO (El Prado [Ire]) sports a solid 5-2-1-2 mark at Keeneland

and is a must use in the vertical exotics. The ageless eight-year-old was a big

third against better in this race last year and comes in off of a fine win at

Kentucky Downs for Chris Block. Jesus Castanon will guide the Illinois-bred. DUE DATE (El Prado [Ire]) is a solid performer, but we aren't keen on horses

who don't like to cross the wire first and we'll keep his usage for the bottom

of the exotics.

GOLDZAR (Cozar) has been first or second in six straight but has never raced

on the lawn or in a stakes race. STRADIVINSKY (Stravinsky) has been dusted in his last four stakes attempts

and would be a surprise for a sharp outfit. FOREST TOUR (Forestry) is still

eligible for a first-level allowance race. LUCK MONEY (Ire) (Indian Ridge) is in awful form and can't be backed by us.
