TRACK BANDIT PREVIEWS

Six four-year-old fillies will line up in Saturday's Bed o' Roses H. (G2) at

Aqueduct, and we'll tab the white-hot GOLDEN DAWN (Hennessy) in here. The

chestnut began her career with five uninspiring starts in the Bluegrass State

prior to coming north to the barn of Michael Hushion, and the rest is history.

The filly has won three of four with Hushion, including a six-length romp in the

Barbara Fritchie H. (G2) most recently, and has posted BRIS Speed figures of

106, 105 and 100 in her last three tries. We see no reason to look elsewhere in

here under Channing Hill.

YOU ASKED (Yes It's True) often gives the kind of honest effort that lands

her a piece of the pot, and we like the Alan Goldberg trainee to complete the

exacta in here. The bay Florida-bred has won or placed in nine of her 12

lifetime tries, and comes off a closing second in the Langhorne S. at Philly

Park. We don't endorse the bay to win this, but she's always coming late and

often reels in tired pace types. Cornelio Velasquez will be in the stirrups.

RITE MOMENT (Vicar) was much the best in her recent Distaff H. (G2) score and

is four-for-five since coming to the shedrow of Gary Contessa. The Kentucky-bred

miss has an excellent running style for this race and has trained forwardly in

advance of this, so it looks like that she'll be competing for a top-three

finish beneath Rajiv Maragh.

The consistent LADY MARLBORO (Smoke Glacken) was last seen in early January

dead-heating for the win in the Sabin H. (G3) for Jimmy Jerkens, and the bay was a nose second in the

Top Flight H. (G2) over this same oval two prior. She has won or placed in nine

of her 11 lifetime tries, with her last nine starts coming against stakes company.

The filly is an obvious top-three threat breaking from the rail under Javier

Castellano.

SUTRA (Meadowlake) is much improved in 2008, posting a win and two seconds

following a spotty three-year-old campaign. The Michael Stidham charge should be

razor sharp after facing some nice fillies at six panels as of late, and she is

a Grade 1 winner in the Empire State, so we'd suggest including her in your

gimmicks as well. Mike Luzzi has the call.

Stakes heroine COWGIRLS DON'T CRY (Pure Prize) romped in her New York debut

against allowance foes but never lifted a hoof in the nine-furlong Next Move H.

(G3) in her latest try for Kiaran McLaughlin. The chestnut miss appears to be

cut out more for sprinting, but we feel that she's a step slower than most of

these. Maybe next time for the Kentucky-bred.
