TRACK BANDIT PREVIEWS

A field of 11 has been entered for Saturday's $150,000 Bowling Green H. (G2)

over Belmont Park's inner turf, and we think SALIC LAW (Deputy Commander)

commands respect in this 11-furlong test under Richard Migliore. The Tom

Albertrani trainee has scored six wins from his past eight starts, including a

handicap over course and distance last out. He stalked in second in that one

before taking over going into the stretch and pulling away for a 2 1/4-length

win. The dark bay four-year-old earned a 102 BRIS Speed rating in a 3 3/4-length

victory prior to that one and will be making his graded debut in this spot.

Salic Law looks ready for the step up in class.

CERTIFIABLY CRAZY (Fit to Fight) captured an optional claimer over the inner

turf last out while making just his second start for trainer Bradley Wallace.

The five-year-old took the lead in that 8 1/2-furlong event and never

relinquished it at any call en route to a 2 1/4-length victory while still

earning a 112 BRIS Late Pace figure. Certifiably Crazy has really blossomed

since switching to that shedrow and could easily continue to improve here. Don't

be surprised to see this dark bay gelding in the winner's circle under Norberto

Arroyo Jr. on Saturday.

RELAXED GESTURE (Ire) (Indian Ridge) is the 5-2 favorite on the morning line

and deservedly so off a close second in the Manhattan H. (G1) last out. The

Christophe Clement charge captured his two other seasonal starts, allowances at

Keeneland and Belmont, and has posted nothing but tripe-digit Late Pace figures

since Brice Blanc took over riding duties in the chestnut's return stateside.

The four-year-old has yet to finish off the board from seven starts on the green

and easily possesses the ability to take this one, but we'll just use him in the

exotics and hope for better prices with Salic Law and Certifiably Crazy.

DREADNAUGHT (Lac Ouimet) returns to the graded ranks after making his 2005

bow in the handicap that Salic Law won last out. He finished out his

four-year-old campaign with wins in the Red Smith H. (G2) and W. L. McKnight H.

(G2), and spent June working bullets to prepare for his seasonal debut. Trained

by Thomas Voss, the bay five-year-old owns the numbers to get the job done here

and deserves consideration for the top three with Jean-Luc Samyn in the irons.

EXTERIOR (Distant View) won his U.S. debut, an allowance at Santa Anita, and was

competitive on the West Coast against stakes rivals. He tried the United Nations

S. (G1) last out off a layoff and ran a better than appeared fifth. He earned

his best Speed rating  to date (100) that day and could continue to show

more. Consider for the exotics.

NAVESINK RIVER (Unbridled) earned his first stakes victory in the Pan

American H. (G2) in early April, but hasn't done so well in his two starts

since. However, the Todd Pletcher-trained four-year-old is returning off a

layoff here and has done well in past returns, so he could come with a nice

enough late run to earn part. MACAW (Ire) (Bluebird) is an erratic runner, but

has earned high enough numbers to deserve consideration for the bottom of the

gimmicks. He starts in this one off a distant 11th in the Manhattan.

CACHT WELLS (Arg) (Poliglote [GB]) is taking a step up here and might need a

race before tackling this company just yet. KING'S CORONATION (Red Ransom)

doesn't look fast enough to challenge here. GRUMMAN (Geri) and TYNAN (Irish

River [Fr]) look out of their class in this one. We can't recommend either.
