Discreet Cat spearheads Godolphin's Dubai Carnival team

Simon Crisford confirmed that the four-year-old is aiming for the $6 million

Dubai World Cup (UAE-G1) on March 31, even though he has also been nominated to

the six-furlong Dubai Golden Shaheen (UAE-G1) and Godolphin Mile (UAE-G2) on the

undercard.

"We've got plenty of options," Crisford said, "but the plan at this time is

to prepare him for the Dubai World Cup.

"He's an incredibly exciting horse to have in the barn," he added. "He likes

to train very slowly every day and requires very little training and very little

work."

Discreet Cat has settled in well since shipping from the United States in

late December. In the World Thoroughbred Rankings for 2006, he was assigned 128

pounds, one below Horse of the Year and Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) victor Invasor (Arg) (Candy

Stripes), and tied with Bernardini as the co-highest rated three-year-old in the

world.

Crisford also unveiled Carnival plans for several other members of the squad.

Unbeaten Nashua S. (G3) hero DAY PASS (Five Star Day), who was recently

transferred from Kiaran McLaughlin, will make his sophomore bow in a March 1

prep race en route to the $2 million U.A.E. Derby (UAE-G2) on the World Cup program.

ZADA BELLE (Indian Charlie), a nine-length romper at Oak Tree in her sole

start for Adam Kitchingman, is aiming for the February 15 U.A.E. One Thousand

Guineas.
