A short field of seven will go forward Saturday for the $150,000 Distaff

Breeders' Cup H. (G2) over Aqueduct's inner track.

MAGNOLIA JACKSON (Cape Canaveral) is perfect over the inner at the Big A,

winning her last three outings, with the latest coming in the Broadway H. against

fellow New York- breds. The four-year-old bay earned a 102 BRIS Late Pace figure

when capturing the Correction H. two back, and this late speed should come in handy

as the Gary Contessa trainee faces a speed-laden field here. Contessa and

jockey Ramon Dominguez have teamed up to earn a 19-4-5-3 record together over

the past week and will be a threat in this one.

ANNIKA LASS (Mister Jolie) comes off a six-month break and makes her first

start for conditioner Steven Asmussen, who wins at a 23 percent clip with horses

making their first start under his tutelage. The five-year-old Annika Lass put in a nice

late run last out to come from near last to annex the Steve Van Buren H. at

Philadelphia Park in September. Annika Lass is acclimated to Saturday's

six-furlong distance, having won six of 12 starts at the trip. Channing Hill

has the call.

SMOKEY GLACKEN (Forestry) will attempt to win her first Grade 2, having

come up just short on a number of occasions. The James Jerkens trainee has

captured her last two -- the First Lady H. (G3) and Hurricane Bertie H. (G3) --

and has earned triple-digit BRIS Speed figures in her past six tries. Although

making her first appearance over Aqueduct's inner track, the five-year-old mare

is always a threat and will be near the front at the conclusion.

Grade 2 winner GREAT INTENTIONS (Cat Thief) finished third to Magnolia Jackson in the

Correction two back, but followed that up with a good score in the Flip's

Pleasure S. in late February. Coupled with SWEET SWEET (Honour and Glory), the

Michael Hushion-trained four-year-old drilled a bullet half-mile over the Belmont

training track in :47 on Monday and looks in good form coming into this one.

FLAME OF LOVE (Not for Love) improved greatly once moving to the shedrow of

Scott Lake. A former claimer, the bay mare dominated the What a Summer S.

by 10 1/2 lengths two back. After winning versus optional claming company by

three last time, the six-year-old should be kept in mind for the exotics under the direction of jockey Eibar Coa.

MADDALENA (Good and Tough) was bumped at the start of the First Lady H. (G3)

in her last start and failed to menace. She has been working solidly for trainer

Todd Pletcher since that day, however, and is always a threat to hit the board.

The lightly raced Sweet Sweet faces a real class check and we will just watch

for now.
