Leading older mare Letruska racked up her fifth straight win – and fourth consecutive Breeders’ Cup Challenge event – in Sunday’s Spinster S. (G1) at Keeneland.

Letruska's stranglehold on 2021 Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1) qualifiers continued Saturday at Saratoga when the five-year-old mare proved tenacious in the final furlong to win the $600,000 Personal Ensign S. (G1) under Irad Ortiz Jr.

With an impressive 5 3/4-length victory in Saturday’s $300,000 Fleur de Lis (G2), Letruska strengthened her grasp atop the filly & mare dirt division.

Letruska was left on an easy lead in Saturday's $480,000 Ogden Phipps S. (G1) and proceeded to make her rivals pay in the "Win & You're In" qualifier for the Nov. 6 Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1) at Del Mar.

Saturday’s $1 million Apple Blossom H. (G1) promised to be one of the greatest renewals in its storied history, and the Oaklawn Park feature did not disappoint. Only the epic battle of champions turned out a bit differently from the script. Instead of Eclipse Award winners Monomoy Girl and Swiss Skydiver fighting out the finish, it was former Mexican champion Letruska who outdueled Monomoy Girl, as the pair left Swiss Skydiver well back in third.
