One day after Dornoch in the Belmont (G1), trainer Danny Gargan’s other Derby also-ran, Society Man, likewise bounced back in the Matt Winn (G3) at Churchill Downs.

Remsen (G2) hero Dornoch was the last major contender standing after a flurry of scratches decimated Saturday’s Fountain of Youth (G2), and the 1-5 favorite got the job done .

Dornoch never got much of a breather in the $250,000 Remsen (G2) at Aqueduct on Saturday, but found just enough in the tank to re-rally and defeat Sierra Leone, who had poked his head in front in midstretch following a last-to-first rally.

Jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. swept both stakes for two-year-olds at Aqueduct on Sunday, piloting Champions Dream in the Nashua (G3) and Good Sam in the Tempted.
