The Curragh hosted day two of the Irish Champions Festival, highlighted by four Group 1s including a pair of Breeders’ Cup Challenge events.

The historic 2 1/2-mile Gold Cup (G1) on Day 3 of Royal Ascot came down to a tremendous homestretch battle in which 2022 winner Kyprios continued an against-all-odds comeback to reclaim his title.

Day two of the Irish Champions Festival witnessed surprises in both Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” events at the Curragh, as the favorites failed to fire.

The Curragh’s banner Sunday program includes a pair of “Win and You’re In” races, the Flying Five for a spot in the Turf Sprint and the Moyglare Stud for the Juvenile Fillies Turf.

Unbeaten Baaeed is the prohibitive odds-on favorite in Wednesday’s Sussex (G1) at Glorious Goodwood, a “Win and You’re In” for the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1).

Another sensational Royal Ascot is in the books. With sunny skies making for good-to-firm going, the tricky soft-ground variable was eliminated, and the results were generally logical.
