TRACK BANDIT PREVIEWS

A field of seven three-year-old fillies will travel one mile in the Las

Virgenes S. (G1) at Santa Anita on Saturday. Sorrento S. (G3) heroine TASHA'S

MIRACLE (Harlan's Holiday) has been freshened since her solid fourth-place

effort in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) and looks to be the one to

beat in here. Trained by John Sadler, the bay miss has been highly touted since

her strong runner-up debut and has yet to run a bad one in five career tries.

The Florida-bred has posted a solid string of works since December and will be

tough to hold off with her best under Martin Garcia.

Santa Ynez S. (G2) runner-up GOLDEN DOC A (Unusual Heat) just missed catching

champion Indian Blessing (Indian Charlie) last out and would be formidable with

a similar effort on this occasion for conditioner Barry Abrams. The chestnut

California-bred is easily the most experienced runner in the field with nine

starts under her belt and would likely be the main beneficiary of a strong early

tempo in here. Rafael Bejarano has the call.

DIVINE LEGACY (Full Mandate) improved dramatically in her second career try

and we feel that the Bill Currin trainee could fill out the trifecta at

useful odds. The Florida-bred bay is well drawn on the rail and should have a

good pace to run at in the stretch. We also like the fact that Joe Talamo

retains the mount.

PEISINOE (Yes It's True) reeled off two impressive wins to begin her career but

had the misfortune of dueling early with Indian Blessing in the Santa Ynez last out for Paddy Gallagher. The speedy bay is eligible to improve in this

spot, but we're not sure how far she wants to run and we can't back her for the

top spot in this affair. The Florida-bred is an exotics threat, though, under

the guidance of Alex Solis.

Grade 1-placed GRACE ANATOMY (Aldebaran) exits a second in the Santa Ysabel

S. (G3) last out for Doug O'Neill. The bay filly has never been one of our

favorites and she has only once topped 90 with her BRIS Speed figures, so we'll

look elsewhere in this field.

We were too fond of LOVELY ISLE (Double Honor) in the Old Hat S. (G2) in her

debut for Richard Dutrow most recently, and we can't endorse her on this

occasion. The dark bay miss was privately purchased following her 16 1/2-length

conquer in a starter allowance tilt at Aqueduct two back, but we still believe

that she was flattered by the speed-biased nature of that oval. The speedster

will likely be on the lead early under David Flores while making her first start

for Bobby Frankel.

Multiple stakes-placed CZECHERS (Indian Charlie) showed a new rating tactic when third versus lesser

at Golden Gate last out, but the Mark Glatt trainee could slip into the

superfecta with a well-timed ride from Joel Rosario.
