Les Arcs maps out sprint options
Trainer Tim Pitt on Sunday reported that Saturday's Golden Jubilee S.
(Eng-G1) hero LES ARCS (Arch) emerged from the race in good order, and the
six-year-old could go next to the July Cup (Eng-G1) at Newmarket July 14.
"He's
come out of it very well and I'm happy enough with him," he told PA Sport. "He's
a bit stiff and sore, but he's sometimes a bit like that after a tough race and
he's had two hard races in five days. We will have to have a think about where
we go next, but Newmarket for the July Cup would be the obvious choice, as he's
a Group 1 winner now. I would think we would be looking towards Hong Kong (for
the Sprint [HK-G1] on December 10) later in the year now, too."
Les Arcs defeated Balthazaar's Gift (Xaar) by a neck in the six-furlong Golden Jubilee.
