Recaps of the Zenyatta (G2) and Santa Anita Sprint Championship (G2), both Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" races.

The Breeders’ Cup Challenge events continue at Santa Anita on Sunday, with the $200,000 Zenyatta (G2) for aspiring Distaff (G1) contenders and the $200,000 Santa Anita Sprint Championship (G2) for the Sprint (G1) brigade.

The connections of reigning Horse of the Year Sovereignty have yet another Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) contender on their hands.

Saratoga shipper Eunomia sprang a 12-1 upset in Saturday’s $402,000 Clement L. Hirsch (G1) at Del Mar, a “Win and You’re In” for the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1).

Which Seismic Beauty shows up for Saturday’s renewal of the 1 1/16-mile Hirsch remains to be seen.

Last year's champion three-year-old filly drew post 1 in Oaklawn's 1 1/16-mile signature event for fillies and mares.

Rare is a horse so talented and durable that they can win the same graded stakes four years in a row. It had never been done at Del Mar until Gold Phoenix joined the elusive four-peat club with his triumph in Saturday’s $300,000 Del Mar H. (G2) on Pacific Classic (G1) day at Del Mar.
