Saturday's Sabin H. (G3) at Gulfstream Park is OONAGH MACCOOL's (Ire)

(Giant's Causeway) race to lose. The Todd Pletcher trainee returns here off a

202-day vacation, but has won off a layoff in the past. Oonagh Maccool began her

career in England on the turf, taking a maiden and handicap event, before

suffering her first career loss when sixth in her U.S. debut, the 2005 Soaring

Softly S. She bounced back from that one to dominate an allowance/optional

claiming field by eight lengths when trying the dirt for the first time and

proceeded to add victories in the Rampart H. (G2) and Louisville Breeders' Cup

H. (G2).

The five-year-old chestnut led from the start of the Fleur de Lis H. (G2)

before being overtaken a few jumps before the wire and finishing a head back to

Happy Ticket in mid-June, then gave notice she needed a rest when

off the board in the Go for Wand H. (G1) in her last race. Oonagh Maccool

returned to the worktab in late December and should easily add this one-mile

event to her

resume with anything resembling her previous form. Rafael Bejarano, who was aboard for

her two Grade 2 victories last season, returns to the saddle.

SUGAR SWIRL (Touch Gold) will be looking to get the best of Oonagh Maccool

while making her graded debut. The chestnut miss doesn't own the same numbers as

our top pick, but the Bobby Frankel charge is a consistent sort who has finished

off the board only twice from eight career starts. One of those finishes came in

a turf stakes at Belmont and the other was in a Woodbine stakes on the

Polytrack. She captured her last race over the track while returning to the dirt

and has been working well in advance of this one. The four-year-old filly will

get Eddie Castro in the irons on Saturday and will be tough in the top three.

GRECIAN LOVER (Friendly Lover) posted her most recent win last July in an

allowance/optional claimer at Belmont. The Allen Jerkens-trained five-year-old

owns three black-type seconds, including just missing by a neck in the Chaposa

Springs H. two back, and earned 102 BRIS Speed ratings last year. She has solid

marks at both the track (5-1-2-1) and the eight-furlong distance (6-1-4-0), and could finally

break through here with a first stakes score. Rene Douglas has the call.

SWAP FLIPAROO (Exchange Rate) captured the Test S. (G1) last year and most

recently ran second in the Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Sprint S. over the

track. The late runner finished off the board in her only attempt at a mile and

was a distant second in the 1 1/8-mile Miss Grillo S., but both of those efforts

came as a juvenile, and the uncoupled Jerkens charge hasn't

competed past seven furlongs since. All three of our top picks like to race

either on or just off the pace, which could set up perfectly for Swap Fliparoo

to come with her late run and take it all. Javier Castellano will be aboard.

GETCOZYWITHKAYLEE (Zafarrancho [Arg]) will be racing under the name of

Roberto Calvo while trainer Richard Dutrow serves out a suspension, and she owns the

numbers to pick up a share. TOLL TAKER (Bernstein), who ran third in the Chaposa

Springs last out, has posted at least one stakes victory in each year she's

raced. The bay mare has been working well in advance of this one, her

five-year-old debut, and could challenge for a place in the exotics.

CLASSY CHARM (Silver Charm), last seen competing at Keeneland's fall meet, might find this test too much,

especially considering that she was drubbed by Oonagh Maccool in last year's

Rampart. We'll let her beat us. LEONA'S

KNIGHT (Suave Prospect) appears out of her class against these.
