TRACK BANDIT PREVIEWS

A field of six will line up for Sunday's $150,000 Salvator Mile (G3) at Monmouth

Park. Grade 1 winner GYGISTAR (Prospector's Music) comes into this test as the

heavy 8-5 favorite on the morning line, so to give a little value, we will go

with CHEROKEE'S BOY (Citidancer). The five-year-old won his only start over the

Oceanport, New Jersey, track, a clear victory in the Skip Away S. last out. Four

of the Gary Capuano trainee's last five outings have resulted in BRIS Speed

figures of 100 or greater and Capuano has Cherokee's Boy working bullets for

this one. Travis Dunkelberger will ride.

Gygistar enters off a runner-up performance in the Brooklyn H. (G2) and won

his last competition at Sunday's one-mile distance, annexing the Westchester H.

(G3) the race prior for the second-consecutive year. The Mark Hennig charge has

an affinity for the distance, winning three of five tries at one mile. Hennig

has booted home two winners in his last four starters and Gygistar will be one

to deal with here under Eibar Coa.

RECORD BUSTER's (Alphabet Soup) front-running style hurt him last out in the

Suburban H. (G1), which was a little beyond the chestnut's limits at a 1 1/4

miles. Early speed tends to be beneficial at Monmouth, so a similar trip here

could make the Bobby Frankel trainee a factor. Aaron Gryder will have the call.

The Todd Pletcher-trained COLITA (Grindstone) is coming off a six-month

layoff and will be cutting back after a few failed attempts when stretching out.

The five-year-old's last race at one mile resulted in a dominant 4 1/2-length

victory versus allowance company. Pletcher and jockey Chris DeCarlo have a 5-4-1

record when paired together over the past two weeks.

AGGADAN (Carnivalay), who came home second in the Skip Away, returns to the

barn of Juan Rodriguez for this one. The six-year-old chestnut has barn hopped

over the past few months, but has the ability get up and grab part here. MY

SNOOKIE'S BOY (Crafty Friend) comes off a victory against optional claiming

company and is Grade 1 placed, but has not been performing as he did at this

point last year. We will go against.
