In the $400,000 Champagne S. (G1), Sanford S. (G2) winner SCAT DADDY (Johannesburg) tops a field of 10 entered for the one-mile test. The $400,000 Frizette S. (G1), which will also feature 10 runners at eight furlongs, has attracted Matron S. (G1) heroine MEADOW BREEZE (Meadowlake). Scat Daddy overcame a rough trip to capture the Sanford two starts back, and the Todd Pletcher-trained colt suffered more trouble when finishing second in the Hopeful S. (G1) most recently. Regular rider John Velazquez will guide the once-beaten juvenile. NOBIZ LIKE SHOBIZ (Albert the Great) will likely draw plenty of support in the Champagne despite his inexperience. A 10 3/4-length maiden winner in his career bow at Belmont on September 9, Nobiz Like Shobiz faces the daunting task of making his second career start in a Grade 1 event, but trainer Barclay Tagg is very high on the bay colt. "I know you don't go from one maiden race to a Grade 1 and all that stuff, but what else is there?" the conditioner asked. "The first time I saw him, I thought he was something special. Of course you wish you had more experience, but he's got a pretty good mind."

Meadow Breeze recorded unplaced finishes in her first two stakes attempts,

but the chestnut lass parlayed a runner-up effort in the off-the-turf P.G.

Johnson S. at Saratoga into an upset score in the Matron at 34-1. Trained by

Carl Deville, Meadow Breeze will bring an overall mark of 6-3-1-0 into the

Frizette, and Desormeaux will retain the mount.

ALLUDE (Orientate) will enter the Frizette off a sharp 5 3/4-length maiden

win at Belmont Park on September 17. The Tom Albertrani pupil drew the far

outside with Castellano. AWESOME ASHLEY (Unbridled's Song), who is trained by

Pletcher and ridden by Velazquez, is another filly likely to draw support off a

maiden tally, and the unbeaten TICKET TO SEATTLE (Capote) has shipped into

Belmont for Steve Klesaris off a pair of victories at Delaware Park. Sorority S.

queen OUR FANTENE (Touch Gold) will make her graded debut with a perfect mark

from two career outings.

Maiden winner ENCHANTING STAR (Service Stripe) will start from the innermost

post with Mike Smith. To their outside will be DINNER BREAK
