Tasha's Miracle returns in Las Virgenes

Last updated: 2/6/08 6:49 PM

Last seen running fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1), Grade 3 winner TASHA'S

MIRACLE (Harlan's Holiday) will make her

sophomore debut on Saturday in the $250,000 Las Virgenes S. (G1) over Santa Anita's revamped

Cushion Track.

The John Sadler-trained lass broke her maiden over Hollywood Park's Cushion

Track last July, then made her stakes debut in the Sorrento S. (G3) on Del Mar's

Polytrack. She earned a 3 1/4-length score in that 6 1/2-furlong test, then

stretched out to 8 1/2 furlongs next out in the Oak Leaf S. (G1), finishing

fifth by just 2 3/4 lengths. Tasha's Miracle took on some of the best in her

division in the Breeders' Cup and acquitted herself well when running fourth.

She will get a jockey switch to Martin Garcia on

Saturday.

GRACE ANATOMY (Aldebaran) was a one-paced seventh in the Breeders' Cup and

ended her juvenile season with another off-the-board finish in the Oak Leaf S.

(G1). She came back in better form in the 1 1/16-mile Santa Ysabel S. (G3), taking a brief

lead in the stretch before finishing second, and could get back to her winning

ways while cutting back to a mile

in this race.

GOLDEN DOC A (Unusual Heat) and PEISINOE (Yes It's True) both skipped the

Breeders' Cup but faced off in the Santa Ynez S. (G2) on January 13. Golden Doc

A, who entered the Santa Ynez already owning two stakes victories, closed with a

rush to just miss by a head to champion Indian Blessing (Indian Charlie) in the seven-furlong event. Peisinoe,

who was

making her stakes debut after capturing her first two career races, finished third.

DIVINE LEGACY (Full Mandate) will lead the post parade under Joseph Talamo

while toting 116 pounds. Next in line will be CZECHERS (Indian Charlie), Joel

Rosario, 116; LOVELY ISLE (Double Honor), David Flores, 116; Golden Doc A,

Rafael Bejarano, 118; Peisinoe, Alex Solis, 116; Tasha's Miracle, 118; and Grace

Anatomy, Victor Epinoza, 116.
