Tattersalls December to feature Britton House Stud

dispersal

The Tattersalls December sale will feature a complete dispersal of breeding

stock from Roger Baines' Britton House Stud, it was announced Thursday. The

draft consists of 15 horses comprised of one yearling, five foals, three fillies

in and out of training and six broodmares.

Among the prized offerings are SOLO DE LUNE (Law Society), already the dam of

Group 1 winner Cerulean Sky (Ire) (Darshaan) and L'Ancresse (Ire) (Darshaan),

second in the 2003 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1) as well as the Irish

Oaks (Ire-G1); KENMIST (Kenmare), the dam of Prix du Moulin (Fr-G1) heroine Grey Lilas (Danehill); and MACKIE (Summer Squall), a half-sister to Kentucky Derby

(G1) winner Sea Hero (Polish Navy) who was purchased for $5 million carrying a

foal by Mr. Prospector at the 2000 Keeneland January sale.

"Roger Baines has assembled a small but outstanding band of broodmares in

recent years and the dispersal from his Britton House Stud will undoubtedly

prove to be amongst the highlights of what promises to be a very high quality

renewal of the Tattersalls December Sale," Tattersalls Chairman Edmund Mahony

said. "Roger is no stranger to success at Tattersalls, having sold a Diesis colt

out of Kitza for 1 million guineas at the 2003 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale

and we look forward to conducting the dispersal on his behalf."
