Ten juveniles tie for fastest eighth-mile

Ten juveniles tied for the fastest eighth-mile work on Tuesday at the first

preview for the Barretts March Selected Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale. The

youngsters completed the distance in :10 at Fairplex Park in Pomona, California.

In hip order they are: Hip No. 37, KAYS AND JAYS (Macho Uno), consigned by

Sequel Bloodstock (Becky Thomas), agent; Hip 39, a Songandaprayer colt, consigned by B.C.3.

Thoroughbreds, agent; Hip 57, a Salt Lake colt, consigned by B.C.3.

Thoroughbreds, agent; Hip 72, a Gulch filly, consigned by B.C.3. Thoroughbreds,

agent; Hip 106, a Cactus Ridge colt, consigned by B.C.3. Thoroughbreds, agent;

Hip 122, a Seattle Fitz (Arg) colt, consigned by Scanlon Training Center, agent;

Hip 126, a Chapel Royal colt, consigned by Wavertree Stables (Ciaran Dunne), agent; Hip 146, a

Bernstein colt, consigned by B.C.3. Thoroughbreds, agent; Hip 153, a Forest

Wildcat colt, consigned by Jerry Bailey Sales Agency, agent; and Hip 178, an

Orientate colt, consigned by Eddie Woods, agent.

Hip 154, a Lion Heart colt out of Clever Squaw (Rahy), worked the fastest

quarter-mile, covering the distance in :21 2/5. The chestnut colt is consigned

by Murray Smith, agent.

A Cherokee Run colt out of stakes winner Flirty Frosty (Pleasant Colony)

worked three furlongs in a bullet :34 4/5. Cataloged as Hip 185, the bay colt is

consigned by B.C.3. Thoroughbreds, agent.
