Shug McGaughey was widely expected to win his first Arlington Million (G1) at Colonial Downs on Saturday, but his 3-5 favorite Integration wasn’t the one to hand him the trophy.

Although 0-for-8 in Grade 1 races dating back to 2023, Integration is 3-for-4 over the turf at Colonial Downs, where he will take a second shot at winning the $1 million Arlington Million (G1) on Saturday.

Godolphin’s homebred Santin, who broke through with his first stakes win in the Turf Classic (G1) on Kentucky Derby Day, followed up over the same Churchill Downs course and distance in Saturday’s Arlington Million (G1).

Churchill Downs has announced that the Louisville track will host the $1 million Arlington Million (G1) and other stakes formerly held at Arlington Park during 2022.
