The upcoming Colonial Downs meet will feature record daily average purses in excess of $600,000, along with six more racing days and an enhanced stakes schedule, the New Kent, Virginia, track has announced.

Churchill Downs has announced that the Louisville track will host the $1 million Arlington Million (G1) and other stakes formerly held at Arlington Park during 2022.

The race formerly known as the Arlington Million witnessed one of the biggest upsets in its history Saturday, when 27-1 longshot Two Emmys denied 2-5 favorite Domestic Spending in the $600,000 Mister D. (G1).

In a performance as dominant as it was historic, Irish shipper Santa Barbara blew away Mean Mary and drew off in Saturday’s $392,000 Beverly D. (G1) at Arlington.
