Trainer Phil D’Amato had four solid contenders in Sunday’s Eddie Read (G2) at Del Mar, and Gold Phoenix led home a clean sweep of the superfecta for the barn.

By narrowly outfinishing Anarchist and 9-5 favorite Dr. Schivel, The Chosen Vron earned his eighth straight victory, millionaire status, and a free spot in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1).

Trainer Phil D’Amato furnished the exacta in Friday’s $104,000 Oceanside S. on opening day at Del Mar, as the 4.70-1 Conclude got a decisive jump on favored stablemate Classical Cat.

After an eventful stakes debut in the April 8 Santa Anita Oaks (G2), well-bred Window Shopping took care of business back over the same track and trip in Saturday’s $201,000 Summertime Oaks (G2).
