Jockey Jose Ortiz carried his momentum to the Belmont Park turf to make it a graded-stakes triple on Thursday.

*Friday update: Belmont has canceled racing this weekend due to the impending nor'easter. The stakes races are postponed to Thursday, Oct. 1.

British trainer George Boughey had to wait three extra days for Survie to make her U.S. debut in the Glens Falls (G2), but the weather-driven postponement did not bother her in the least.

The two-year-old fillies in Sunday’s $225,000 Adirondack (G3) will have to share the Saratoga spotlight with a pair of stakes that were rescheduled from midweek.

Not much has gone right for Gezora since her winning U.S. debut last November in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1).

Chad Brown and Flavien Prat teamed up to win both of Friday’s turf stakes during the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival at Saratoga.

A rematch of the top three finishers from last month's Kentucky Oaks (G1) is on tap at Saratoga on Friday in the $500,000 Acorn (G1).

The “other” Chad Brown angle was in play in Friday’s $478,670 Modesty (G3), while a Brendan Walsh favorite just scraped home in a stakes-record Edgewood (G2).

Peter M. Brant’s Gezora didn’t get the opportunity to do herself justice in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (G1), but she did capitalize on a much better scenario at Del Mar.

Favorites were overturned in all three trials for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (G1) at ParisLongchamp on Sunday.
